Graphic Design Workshop and Contest
January 17 - January 18

1. Background & Rationale
With the rapid growth of the digital economy, creative digital skills such as graphic design have become essential competencies for students. Early exposure to visual communication tools helps young learners develop creativity, digital literacy, and confidence in using ICT for expression and learning.
Despite increasing access to digital tools, many students—particularly girls—have limited opportunities to explore ICT-based creative fields in a structured and inspiring environment. Recognizing this gap, Women in Information Technology (WIIT), in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Yala and Shree Bhanodaya Basic School, proposes a two-day Graphic Design Orientation & Contest for Middle school students.
The program combines hands-on training with a friendly competition to motivate students to apply their learning while promoting important social themes such as Girls in ICT and Online Safety.
